What do 125 A and 45 A battery ratings mean?
Read current limits together with temperature cut-offs, duration and the manufacturer’s test conditions.
Conditional limits
EVE 50PL’s listed 125 A limit includes a 75 °C temperature condition. Samsung 50S has a 25 A rating and a conditional 45 A rating with an 80 °C cut-off. These values must not be presented as unrestricted operating currents.
The whole pack matters
Cell ratings alone do not determine the permitted current of a battery pack. Interconnects, protection, cooling, insulation and the weakest component also impose limits.
What to check before purchase
Use the exact datasheet revision, continuous and conditional current definitions, charging limits and operating temperatures. Ask for advice if the intended load has not been established.
Check chemistry, voltage, format and the specific model’s datasheet for compatibility.
